Lyric coloratura soprano Natalie Young is an active singer and voice teacher in the Kansas City area.
She has performed in the United States and Germany, most recently singing in a production of Carmen with the Leonhardi Ensemble in Munich. In 2018 Ms. Young was chosen as a Resident Artist with Opera Naples and performed the role of Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore during her residency. She was
a finalist for the American Prize - Women in Opera Professional Division in 2017 and is the two-time St. Louis Chapter Winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Vocal Competition. Ms. Young has sung principal roles and performed in scenes programs with the Bel
Canto Summer Voice Program in Munich, Opera in the Ozarks, Lawrence Opera Theatre, Kansas City Opera Institute, Westchester Summer Vocal Institute, and The Theater in the Park. She enjoys singing oratorio repertoire and most recently sang as soloist in Handel’s Dixit Dominus with the Palm
Beach Symphony. Natalie is the current soprano section leader in the choir at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence, Kansas and sang for five seasons in the professional Schola Cantorum chorus at the Gold Dome Cathedral in Kansas City. A member of the National Association of Teachers of
Singing, Ms. Young maintains an active voice studio and is passionate about helping singers develop vocally while studying classical and musical theater repertoire. She excited to move to Fort Wayne with her husband, pianist Jonathan Young, and their dog, Jack.
