Heartland Sings depends on volunteers to provide valuable support for the ever-growing company. Volunteers donate valuable resources, including their expertise, their time, their financial treasure, and always with a smile! Volunteers help at all levels of the organization, including serving at concerts as ushers and greeters, working in the office by answering phones, filing, and organizing music, helping to transport guest artists and housing guest artists, and providing leadership as members of one of several task forces, committees and the Board of Directors.
Our 2018 Volunteer of the Year is Sandy Hellwege. She has dedicated countless gifts of time and treasure to Heartland Sings. Sandy has been an integral part of our volunteer community over the years as well as a great friend to our organization. In addition to unending financial support, Sandy has dedicated her time serving on the Heartland Sings Board of Directors, where she is currently the company’s secretary, chaired the Concert Task Force coordinating volunteers for a great deal of the company’s concert productions, and supported the company through her attendance at countless concert productions. Seeing Sandy’s smiling and supportive face every day has meant the world to our entire staff.
