Sydney Fabregas - Principal Teaching Artist-Soprano
Sydney Fabregas is an emerging American Soprano pursuing a career in vocal performance and music education. She recently completed her Master's Degree at Carnegie Mellon University and relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to work with Heartland Sings as their first Principal Teaching Artist. Her recent performance highlights include operatic roles such as Monica in Menotti's The Medium, La Princess in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges and La Fèe in Viardot's Cendrillon. Sydney is an energetic, multifaceted vocal artist who loves to sing, perform and share all she's learned with eager students.
Teaching Philosophy
Teaching Philosophy:  I believe that developing a singer's voice requires a careful balance of technique and artistry. I am dedicated to building healthy habits and versatile skills in my students while also creating an atmosphere that promotes a love of learning. These principles set the groundwork for any career in the vocal arts, from opera and musical theatre to all styles of contemporary performance.

I center my vocal training on healthy development, careful expansion of skills, and purposeful practices and warm-ups that can prepare any singer, regardless of style, to meet any goal with sustained vocal health.
