Beckoning Light will ignite a flame of inspiration as you hear pieces that focus on light as an analogy for a better future, finding light in the darkness, and using light as a guide. The concert will feature pieces by: Eric Whitacre, Dolly Parton, and Coldplay, among others. The centerpiece of the program will be Ola Gjeilo’s “Dark & Luminous Night.” This contemplative and inspirational program will feature chorus, piano, string quartet, and guest speaker, Dr. Pascal Losambe.
Venue Accessibility Information:
Attendees should expect to park either in one of First Wayne St UMC’s parking lots (one on the East side, one on the West side of the church) or nearby on the street or in a municipal parking lot. Both the church’s East and West parking lots have wheelchair accessible parking spaces. For attendees with limited mobility, there is a small loading and unloading area in the West parking lot, roughly 30 feet from the Sanctuary entrance. The Sanctuary entrance is accessible from both lots via ramps and sidewalks. The performance will take place in the church's Sanctuary, which is on the first floor and is fully accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices.
