Heartland Sings present a two-week summer camp of in-person classes for elementary school children who wish to learn Spanish as a second language through music. This intense class of 45 minutes will allow participants to explore their creativity by using popular songs and to promote diversity and inclusion among students.

Esta intensa clase de 45 minutos permitirá a los participantes explorar su creatividad a través del uso de canciones populares para promover. la diversidad e inclusión entre estudiantes.

Andrea Salazar

Ecuadorian Soprano, Andrea Salazar completed her master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Kentucky in 2023. Mrs. Salazar-Pastór has participated in multiple productions with the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado. She holds a B.S. in Vocal Performance at  from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, in Princeton, NJ. Mrs. Salazar-Pastór is pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Kentucky under the guidance of Dr. Everett McCorvey.


David Bobay

David Bobay is a music educator, performer, and administrator. Through his work, David has become a highly experienced and skilled musician and manager of education and community programs across various age and ability levels. He holds a B.S. in Vocal/General Music Education from Ball State University. While at Ball State, he was a member of the Ball State University Singers and Company Manager for their 50th season. His choral performance and music management experience has taken him to China, Texas, California, Disney World, and the 2012 World Choir Games. David has had a wide variety of performance experience including opera chorus, a cappella groups, show choir, chamber choir, musical theatre, as well as concert and show bands. He has been a director, choreographer, instrumentalist, clinician, and adjudicator for area show choirs and taken on several substitute and long-term choral teaching positions in Northeast and Central Indiana.
