The Spirit of Christmas: a Light in the Darkness at the Allen County Courthouse has become a Fort Wayne holiday tradition. Hear time-honored carols, original holiday compositions, and enjoy selections that celebrate the arrival of the Light of the World.
Venue Accessibility Information:
Attendees should expect to park on the street or in a nearby municipal lot. For those with limited mobility, there are 2 dedicated handicap-accessible parking spaces and 6 additional public parking spaces along the South side of the Courthouse on Berry St; these spaces are metered but are free evenings and weekends. Entry to the Courthouse will be through the East entrance, facing the Courthouse Green, and reachable via paved sidewalks all the way into the Courthouse. Attendees will need to pass through a police security checkpoint upon entering. The performance will take place across the second floor balcony, with seating also available at the third floor balcony. There are two elevators to ensure that it is fully accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices, and limited seating with obstructed views will be available on the first floor as well.
