The collection baskets that passed through the pews of Plymouth Congregational Church about sunset Sunday gathered more than monetary donations from those attending an event commemorating Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Signed pledges of peace on cardstock joined the cash, providing a visual display of symbolic commitments to practice peace this year.

Heartland Sings is a musical organization that’s unprecedented in a city like Fort Wayne in this day and age. They are a professional choir that performs all styles of vocal music, from classical through jazz and pop. Their concerts present between 16 and 38 singers.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Plymouth Congressional Church hosted a musically-centered celebration for Hispanic Heritage month. On Sunday, October 8, Heartland Sings debuts its 27th season with Music of the Americas.
