"The flowers and sunshine means more when you go through the dark clouds" with Eric Miller

Today ( 08/27) we had a constructive and enjoyable conversation with Eric Miller ,Vice President & General Manager of Heartland Sings. Eric offers not only a rich baritone voice to the table but also an authentic persona in each to each one of his professional duties.

"After growing up in Indianapolis and spending five years at Ball State University, Eric came to Heartland Sings through his wife, Kristen, who began singing with the group in 2003. Eric began as a singer and soon after began adding titles as fast as humanly possible. Flying through Bass Section Leader, Stage Manager, Network Specialists, Database Backup Integrity Coordinator, IT Guru, Cameraman, and Video Editor in the span of about 3 years, Eric soon assembled all those previous jobs into one and became Full-time General Manager in July of 2011. Since that time he has added Website Maintenance, Budgeting, Live Sound Production, HR Benefits coordination, Stage Hand, and ART-V driver to his resume. After his arrival in 2005, he has become firmly rooted on the Northwest side of Fort Wayne with his wife and two children (Lyra 15 & Evan 11). He and his wife both sing in the Part-time ensemble for Heartland Sings and attend Plymouth Church in downtown Fort Wayne. When Eric is not working on Heartland Sings projects, you can find him coaching his daughter's travel softball team (Go Sluggers!), cheering loudly for showchoir performances (Go Chargers!), yelling at the TV during Cubs and Colts games, or on the curling ice sweeping like mad!" (Miller, E. 2023)
